Internships for the summer are developed by the individual student to explore an academic/career-related interest, usually in the nonprofit sector. Salaries for most internships are paid through a combined contribution from both the employer and the Cornell Commitment, while some carry only a stipend from the Cornell Commitment to cover basic living expenses.
